Gatwick International Airport

London Gatwick became an aerodrome back in the 1930s, but the airport we know today was officially opened on 9 June 1958 by Her Majesty The Queen. Over the last 60 years our airport has grown from just 186,000 passengers to over 46 million passengers in 2019. We’re looking forward to a strong summer and will re-open South Terminal in March 2022 to meet expected demand.
